Jinnah! India- Partition- Independene and Jaswant Singh by now all of us know the connection. I have not read this book yet, will read it for sure. I am feeling pity on BJP thought process. Jaswant Singh gave them the magic fire to burn Congress tant but BJP burnt their own. Do u remember that hindi proverb. ‘bandar ke haath me talwaar dena.’
Without even reading that book, I can say that if BJP could have waited for a week , it was congress turn to save the image of Nehru, congress current policies and the forthcoming election.
Jawant Singh had launched the book at the right time at the onset of state assembly election. It was all BJP’s gain, they didn’t understand it at all. The smarter politicians of congress have not reacted at all till now. They need not to because BJP is cleaning the road for them. When they will react .. that will be a powerful shot to ruin BJP.
Wow! three cheers to congress!
The independence struggle had a major feature of swadeshi. The mass was attached to swadeshi movement with heart and soul. Britishers found it difficult to deal with that while they were losing their market. The market was the prime reason for britishers to enter India. The mass came forward to participate in the Swadeshi Aandolan and burnt all foreign goods. Congress and historians say it very often that Indira as a child had burnt her favorite doll which was not made in India. To make people understnad the benefit of Swadeshi, Gandhi ji went a step ahead with his charkha and set a great example to weave own cotton. This movement was seen as a big boost to domestic employment as well.
The first few 5 year plans were based on this Gandhivian theory of swadeshi, domestic employment, boost to swadeshi economy. But when Indiraji became the ruler she forgot that doll incident or may be she categorised that as a chilish act. The swadeshi got vanished day by day and the rule is again of private foreign MNCs.
The congress which existed pre-independence is not the same as on today. The ideology of pre- independence Congress resembles more to BJP.. only the brand name is with UPA.
Why BJP think tank forgets the freedom struggle by its own people who were with Nehru Gandhi. When BJP is following the policies of Gandhi and Nehru, it can also project the party in that spirit.It will surely benefit the party in long run. BJP should praise not only Patel but Nehru Gandhi also and show that they are true followers of root congress. and that they respect the freedom fighters struggle and ideology unlike UPA who is following the foot steps of britishers with money and rule as the only motive.
The privatization re- started because the government owned industries were not profitabele. If a private company can give profirt than a govt owned can also do so. We should just need to see analyse the reason.
the profit was not the aim of public sector, low price and affordability by all was the objective. The comparative richer mass was taxed to generate money to invest and to reduce the gap of rich and poor. It had also generated employment. to maximum people .
Its not that all govt institutions have done bad. Govt schools and colleges had made the Education affordable by all. The fee at private schools have increaded leapa nad bound. not everyone can afford that. Govt institutes have given many scholars to the nation. The education standards have gown down because of prevailoing corruption in evry corner of govt machinery, for which govt is only responsible. the dirty money flows from which ever corner at the end it reaches to the ocean pocket of govt.
The private investors risk their capital so the remain focused on the gain. The investment by govt is not from the private money of any politicians. Its the public money .. its our money collected from us.. so, the gain should also be focused on people not on govt treasury or to make statues and hoardings.
the Govt instead of analysing the reasons of failur of govt institutes or to ensure a less corruptrd state shook hand with forign capitalist once again. the gain is not of the govt or of the people but politicians surely gain with the rain of money in every season.
Even BJP is not different by any means but somewhere that ideology is still survving . a few sangh people still making it live and breath. RSS owned school teach some basic values to respect elders and also self defence maintaing still a low fee structure.
But BJP failed in self defence. It lacks the thinking process. It does not know what it wants . the party wakes up only during election time not knowing wat to do, though it has done so much . they need to focus on policies like education, employment, business opportunity rather than dwelling on non-issue. BJP never realised its true potential. Public may vote for them if they just know the right approach .. if they just stop fighting among themselvess.. if they just focus on finding the true leader and accepting him.
at present everyone in BJP is considering himself or herself to be the next prime minister . there is no focus on policy, work, stratgy.the leaders within the party are pulling each others leg to let the other down. The central leadership is gone the moment vajpayee ji not remain active. As an opposition leader the BJP remains silent spectator most of the time.
And now when jaswant singh gave them the other tool, the golden opportunity to hit congress with nehruvian vs. Jinnah model they cut their own hands. This was the time to be silent and to wait for congress reaction but they chose not to do so. while as the congress has chosen to be silent and watch this blood bath. the congress will speak during the election and will have outflow of votes once again.
BJp really lacks a strategist. There is difference between gadho ke jaise kaam karma aur ghodo ke jaise kaam karna. BJP think tanks need to rise above their personal gain and need to work hard for the party, smartly.
Chintan baithak has become chita baithak. Apte has given a good analysis of BJP failure. tHe rightly pointed out the mistakes and attributed the blame to right people. But the party think tank refused to accept that. they are more interested in digging their own grave by fighting withing the parte with raje and jaswant. The think tank should act fast before the more damage is done.
the first step is to protect jaswant singh rather than hitting him like mad crowd. Look within.. introspect .. and they will find why Bajpayee ji liked and supportted jaswant singh so much.
Work place is where we spend 80 % of our lives.In the 24 hours of the day we have in hand, delete the time the compulsory time we slpent in sleeping and eating. To the time we spent at work place also add the travel time , time spent in getting ready , time we spent in thinking and talking about the days events or bosses or say anything related to office so it almost works out to be 75-90% of our time and how much happiness we derive at work place???
For fighting terrorism or fighting the economic crisis… what we need is a system.
